Without people, how would we all survive? Every person wasn't given the
same skills and the same talent. Sometimes it takes a team of people to
make something great happen. What one lacks another makes up for.
Does one person's skills or talents make them better than another person?
Does a person's actions make them better than someone else? Some would
say no, and there are those that would say yes. Is a lawyer better than a criminal? History has proven that lawyers and even police officers have done illegal things too.
Are preachers better than the people in their congregation? Some people feel
they are because they know more scripture than they do or just for the simple
fact that they speak from the pulpit. Some people even think that a person's
actions make them better than others.
The same goes for how we treat people. If a person in a three piece suit and
a person with jeans and a sweat shirt walk into the same retail store, who do
you think the store clerk will choose to help first? The person in the suit could
have less money to spend than the person in the jeans and sweat shirt.
It's not good to think that someone is better than someone else just because of outward appearances. We are all just human beings living here on earth. We all require air to breathe and food to eat. Yes, some of us do or know more than others, but that doesn't mean that we are better. We all have things that we are good at and none of us are free of making mistakes (James 2:9).
