than there is to appreciate. When we think about or complain about things
a lot, that seems to be all that we will continue to do. It's funny how something
that we don't like keeps playing over and over again in our heads, but when it
comes to the good things, we over look them.
Have you ever worried about something, but in the end everything worked out
just fine? Then, you wonder why you ever worried in the first place. If we would
just get out of the way, the majority of the time, things would just work themselves
out (Matthew 6:25-34). That's why you hear people say stop and smell the roses. What they mean is try to stop sometimes and be in the moment.
Being in the moment means being in the present. So, that means not being in
the past and not worrying about the future. If you expect something, it is on it's
way only because you are expecting it. If you are worrying about not being able
to pay your bills, it's the same thing as expecting not to pay your bills. Guess
what happens? Exactly what you worried about.
That's not to say your bills won't get paid, but it will definitely take longer to get
them paid because you were in the way of everything working itself out due to
your worrying. Try to stop numerous times throughout your day and point out something good about the current moment you are in. If you focus on what is
good about the current moment that you are in, you will be allowing things to
work themselves out.
Once you start to take notice of what is good in your current moment, you will
realize that there is more to appreciate than there is to complain or worry about.
If you practice this a lot, you will soon notice that answers will come to you about what to do either days before or on the exact day that you need the answer.
It can only happen as a result of you getting out of the way.
