Are You In a Bad Relationship?

Do you know when you are in a bad relationship? Maybe you do and you
are just hoping that things will get better. For some of us who have
seen and experienced bad relationships during most of our childhood,
a bad relationship can seem normal. If we do somehow happen to enter
into a good relationship, our past experiences with bad relationships
may cause us to feel uncomfortable.

If you are having to pay for everything, you are not in a good
relationship. There are a few exceptions like job loss or disability
of your partner. Don't support a partner that flat out refuses to
even look for a job. It is easier to take care of a household when
there are two people working together. If you are the only one
providing an income, then what do you need a lazy partner for?  If
you have to do everything yourself, then you might as well be by
yourself.

If your partner is being unfaithful and you know about it, then you
are not in a good relationship. Why be miserable with a partner, when
you can be miserable by yourself. Would you really rather have stress
and misery over your partners unfaithfulness every day? You would be
better off feeling lonely. If your partner is spending your money and
driving your car with someone else, why would you be okay with that?
"Because you love them", is not a good excuse. It is quite obvious,
by their actions, that they don't love you.

If you feel like you can't talk to your partner about anything,
then you are not in a good relationship. You should be able
to discuss anything with your partner without it turning into
an argument or physical fight. A good partner doesn't make you
feel dumb when you talk to them. A good partner will listen to
you and express sincere interest in how you are feeling.

How do you feel when you are with your partner? Really think
about it. Do you feel good or do you feel bad when you are
with your partner? Do you smile when you think about them or
do you frown when you think about them? Can't wait to see them
or do you hate to see them coming? Remember, love is not suppose
to hurt. If your partner truly loves you, their words, as well
as their actions, will prove it.
